Process tomography and Its Industrial and Medical Application

Process tomography is one of the visualization technologies that Produces 4D (3D space+ time) visualization. In this presentation, basics of hardware development with higher spatial-temporal resolution and softwares (reverse resolution and feature extraction) with higher accuracy will be discussed. Presentation includes the development and deployment of tomography sensors and systems in various industrial and biomedical applications, such as trickle-bed reactor, particle distribution in centrifuge and monitoring of lymphedema vulnerable patients.

主讲人简介：

武居昌宏（Masahiro TAKEI）,日本千叶大学教授，工学部副学部长，大学院工学研究科副研究科长，天津大学电气与自动化工程学院客座教授。主要研究领域为流动过程可视化测试、过程层析成像、逆问题、多相流体动力学、图像处理、粒子图像测速（PIV）、为尺度多相流、微管流动与生物测试等。先后主持完成由日本科学技术振兴机构（JST）与工业界等资助的60余项科研项目。

Masahiro Takei received his B.Eng., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees from Waseda University, Japan, in 1995. He is currently a Professor and the Vice Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering, Chiba University, Japan. In 2007, he was a Guest Researcher with the University of Leeds, U.K., under the Royal Society U.K. His research fields are electrical capacitance tomography and electrical impedance tomography toward to applications in medical and industrial two phase flow.
