State of the Art in DC Power Cables Design for Underground and Submarine Cable L

The number of HVDC lines in operation has increased significantly for many years and it is long list of new planned projects. DC are submarine lines with different type of insulation systems and land cable-especially with XLPE-DC insulation. It will be given information about some cable lines (the longest line, line with largest transmission capacity, deepest submarine line, with Light cables, i.e.) and why only HVDC lines very often are only good solution.

主讲人简介：

Aleksandra Rakowska was born in Poland. She received an MSc diploma in electrical engineering and PhD and Doctor Habilitatus degrees from Poznan University of Technology (PUT). She is currently professor at PUT and vice-director of the Institute of Electric Power Engineering for Science. During 2005 to 2012 she was pro-rector for research and science at PUT. In 2004 to 2012 she represented Poland in CIGRE SC B1 Power Cables. She is the author of six technical books and author or coauthor of about 250 papers. Her main research interests are transmission and distribution power lines, especially HV and EHV power cable lines, diagnostics and monitoring of power cable lines, HV engineering, and insulating materials.
